Marcus Smart....What a Punk!

Shoves a fan, gets in the refs face, assistant coaches face, and then gets in a cops face walking of the court. If Ford has any balls, he won't suit up again as a Cowboy.

Some way, some how, this will turn out being racist.

So much for being a lottery pick then.

Re: Marcus Smart....What a Punk!

Actually I shouldn't even give him credit for walking to the locker room...was basically being shoved by one of OSU's assistant coaches.

Just got an ESPN alert that the Big 12 is launching an "investigation" into it and as to why he wasn't ejected.

Re: Marcus Smart....What a Punk!

Weird that he wasn't ejected and allowed to stay on the bench....

Haters are going to hate, When I watch the incident I see the fan barking down at him when he is on the ground. Who knows what was said. You would think a 50 year old fan would know how to handle themselves at a ballgame. What was the technical foul for? Why wasn't that kid ejected from the game? That situation could have gotten really bad.

Oh, there's no doubt in my mind the fan said something to him. Let's say it was personal, and give him the benefit of the doubt that in the heat of the moment he pushed the guy. He still acted like a 5 year old for 5+ min and basically had to be shoved off the court by one of his coaches. That's not heat of the moment, that's someone who simply has problems controlling themselves.

You want to talk about a dangerous situation? He's on the sidelines still running his mouth after the game is over, with the Texas Tech students rushing the court. Hell yeah, that situation could have gotten bad, and at that point he'd have had noone to blame but his own dumb ass. When you know you're outnumbered like that, you shut your mouth and get away.

If you watch Smart when it happens he's laying there looking towards the court and something triggered him to turn around and react like that.

I cant believe you are giving this kid a pas because someone in the crowd said something to the kid. Thats part of being an athlete, people talk trash to you. He crossed the line pushing a fan. Bottom line, no excuses, no free passes.

Some of the things I hear grown people shout during college basketball games are appalling. For some reason, fans seem to take insults and heckling to a much more personal and excessive level during college basketball games than football or baseball.

Personally, I think college basketball games would be more enjoyable if some of these loudmouths got smacked in the face once in a while.

By the way, here's the same fan at another game.

Dude was just frustrated his team lost a game they should have won and wasn't in the mood to hear any trash talking.

So strange. He seemed to be a really decent kid before this. Could've went #1 last year, chose to come back and work on his game.

Heard about this and assumed it happened in the student section or on the court after it was rushed. Was shocked to see the age of the guy Smart pushed.

I've already bet a couple friends of mine that Smart claims the N-bomb was thrown around.
