Tennessee football players arrested

http://www.govolsxtra.com/news/2014/...-and-danny-ob/

Tennessee football players A.J. Johnson and Danny O'Brien were arrested Saturday night, according to the jail log maintained by the Knox County Sheriff's office.

Former player Dontavis Sapp was also listed on the sheriff's website.

The site does not describe the charges against the players and attempts to reach Knoxville police for additional details were not immediately successful.

UT issued a statement Sunday morning saying it was aware of the arrests and was gathering details.

Come on now. . . . give Vandy a chance. It's early in the year.

Another former player, Isaac Mobley, who was a walk-on lineman in 2012, was charged with underage consumption of alcohol, according to the website.

Kind of disappointed the jump suits are not orange. Come on Knox County get with the program.

The Fulmer Cup needs to come back.

It's been an interesting offseason and it's so early...

No way it leaves Athens.

11 total players involved.

9 got citation for underage consumption (who didn't get a few of these in undergrad, I know I did).

AJ got resisting arrest when he grabbed the cops shoulder while he was arresting Sapp.

Danny O'Brien got resisting arrest and a citation for underage consumption.

Pretty minor stuff, first incident since Butch has been on campus. Glad no one was arrested for drugs or assault or anything serious.

This is not a big deal.

It's not like a group of football players almost beat a guy to death.

Here's a link to the narrative of the Vol party. LINK This sounds bad for the Vols, resisting arrest and assaulting police officers.

This what I was referring to: http://www.timesfreepress.com/news/2...ers-brawl-bar/

A non-football player would have seen jail time.

The article yazoo posted said there was marijuana involved, though pot isn't really a huge deal.

I didn't notice anything about assaulting police officers. Unless you are saying that grabbing the cops shoulder was assault, but I don't see anything about anyone being charged with assault.

No one got charged with anything pot related...so why does it matter?
