Bruce Ellington teaching Watkins how to run routes ....

Says a lot about Spurrier Jr having his guys on another level.

Sounds like he also implied the Clemson S&C program is, err, lacking.

Clem5on always seems to have strength and conditioning issues. If you ever watch the leaked winter workout videos, our guys are *FAR* more impressive than theirs. Our workouts look so intense that I break out in a sweat just watching them. They seem to have guys doing basic bench presses, sitting around laughing, and doing outdated workouts from 70's Schwarzenegger videos. Watkins' comments seem to confirm this.

I hope Clemson doesn't realize their S&C program is crap.. Provides good laughs for us.

Awesome to hear. Pretty selfless of Bruce too, good guy.

Says wonders for the Clemson coaching staff.

Apparently their routes consisted of "you go long" and "you go short."

That and using a broom to teach ball security. That Chad is a wonder, isn't he.

This is not exactly a ringing endorsement for Clemson's S & C, but also their offense......they have been showing Potkins how to run routes for 3 years and Bruce helps him out more in only a couple of days.

Honestly - props to Watkins for giving a shout-out to Ellington. Most of these high end wide receivers are too Diva to credit anyone else for... Anything.

And yes. He knew 3 routes: Go long, Screen, swing-pass. If he gets the rest don, I think he'll be sick.

After I saw that I posted a video on Facebook of "The Clemson QB Academy" which was just me chasing my 2 year old daughter around while trying to tickle her with a broom, yelling "pass the ball!. Clemson friends didn't get what was so funny.

Just confirms what we knew...Joey Batson is a terrible S&C coach and Clemson coaches don't develop their players. they get four star results from five star guys, and their three star guys give them vitrually no growth...that isn't on the players, that is on the coaches for not doing their job...coaching.

Meanwhile, our guys take three-star guys and get four and five-star effort out of them.
It is called recruiting guys that fit your system, and developing them.

Now, I'm sure Ellington has learned a few new things since starting his NFL training (those NFL guys know a WHOLE LOT MORE than college guys do) but it is telling how he has helped watkins that much in just a few days.

Imagine if you came to South Carolina Sammy, just how much better and further along you would be.

You mean maxing out with incorrect form doesn't help you and not working on speed and agility drills doesn't give you great results?
Who knew? (sarcasm)

Martavis Bryant will be the better NFL receiver......just watch. Similar frame to Megatron and Dez Bryant.

I'll watch. I think Bryant has a good frame, but will not develop into a top receiver. Watkins seems much stronger and faster.

This kind of publicity is good for Bruce because it shows he's a selfless person and a better-coached athlete. However, I do not like raising awareness of Clempson's shortcomings. I want Dumbo to go on thinking he's got the best coaching and best conditioning in the country. Keep on keepin' on.
