Some love for Connor on Dallas Radio

Caught the tail end of a conversation on ESPN Dallas around lunchtime where the local guys on after Cowherd were talking about the Cowboys draft and they were saying they'd like to see them free up some cap room letting Kyle Orton go and getting a QB in a late round. They went on to say they like to see Connor get a solid look and that he'd be a good fit in the system and get to train with Romo. Also said they could see him be the Cowboy's "QB of the future."

Just curious on y'all's thoughts on that. I think it's pretty cool to see Connor is making some noise in big football cities like Dallas. Hope a team will take a solid look at him and pick him up. Not a big Cowboys fan, but I'd definitely sport a Shaw jersey.

I've been saying this for a while around cowboy boards. Would love to see Connor in a Cowboys uniform.

I hope he get's better advice, other than what Romo has to give. Romo is, I just don't like him and I do not consider him to be one of the top 10 QBs in the league.

Please no. I would not want Shaw to be in that hell hole of a team until Jerry Jones is gone or has nothing to do with the running of the team. An we all know this will never happen until he dies.

I am a huge Cowboys fan and while I certainly understand the sentiments about Jerry Jones
I concur btw
But as for Tony Romo and could not disagree more !
If u put Romo In SF, Seattle, Denver, Baltimore, Ny Giants they would have won the Super Bowl.
On the other hand if u put either Manning or Wilson or Kaperneck in Dallas they wouldn't have done any better the past 8 years!
I believe that !
Shaw would do well in Dallas and I for one would love to see it !!!!

I hate the Cowboys but would love for him to get an opportunity to sit behind someone with that much experience. All it could do his further his knowledge.

It makes too much sense for the Cowboys to do that.

Hate the 'boys but live/work just a couple minutes away from Jerry's world, so I would have to be converted for Connor!

Maybe it would be to help out Romo. Show him what someone who will go out and WIN the damn game looks like.

Please no Jerry Jones or Daniel Snyder.

I'm just praying Connor gets a chance to elevate his game somewhere like he did the past 3 seasons here.

Anywhere but Dallas.

Would be a good move for the Cowboys.

But Jerry Jones is still the GM so it wont happen. I'm sure he'll reach for another TE in the second round though!

Same here. Two different attitudes about the game and how it should be played. Connor would be a leader that they have not had at that spot in a long time.

I think Connor will end up in Seattle listening to his interviews. I wouldn't mind that one bit. A Shaw to Rice combo one day wouldn't be too bad.
