Gamecock documentary?

Are there any types of gamecock football documentarys or something similar of old games and things of that nature? Me and my old man came across a video of older players and I could just see my old man light up when he would hear names called of people who haven't played in 30 years or more. I love sports documentarys myself. Watching the fab five one as I'm typing this. I'll include the video that we saw. Would appreciate any help or insight you have on the topic.

I'd be interested in this too, since I just started following the Gamecocks when Spurrier came.

There's a great VHS from the late 1980s called "Gamecock Glory" that highlighted a bunch of old games, spent a lot of time in the George Rogers era, and 1984.... I think it ended in the Todd Ellis era. Unfortunately for you, theres a new "Gamecock Glory" book about our championship baseball teams, so any google searches will probably take you to that.

There is 1 more video I know of that was made in the mid 1990s called something like, "100 Years of Gamecock Football" or something to that effect.... That is more a historical video with less game footage and more pictures and interviews....

Good luck

There's a great documentary that SCETV did as part of their Carolina Stories series a few years ago that focuses on the rivalry with Clemson, and it has some older Gamecock footage and interviews with former coaches and players. It shows on ETV usually the week before the game, but you can buy the DVD from their online store.

George Rodgers is probably the fastest RB I have ever seen that had his size. He was a big boy, but he was fast!
