If they had this technology now, but hadn't told you - would you know if your phone "had it"? If you disable cellular data, wifi, and bluetooth, and the phone's radio is on and connected, how confident are you that the phone is sending nothing? Heck, just because I turn the radio off doesn't mean it's really off...

Pretty neat tool if the bad guys aren't using iPhones (unless of course Apple partners up). If OBL or his support crew had had a phone with it, I'm sure ST6 would have liked it.

Maybe we'll get those magnetic cars and robot police, but won't need to shoot a sensor grenade into a room to map it out before breach (latest Total Recall)... Might be time to go back to an old Nokia (you know - off the grid).

(I may sound paranoid, but I don't even trust a built in webcam.)

You are already being tracked. Even with an old Nokia.

You are tracked Minority Report style when you walk into most stores. Most stores are arranged to ensure you spend more money at them. They are tracking your purchases to determine what products to market to you. Don't fool yourself.

Back on topic, this looks VERY cool and it will be interesting to see what developers can do with this. There are definitely some game changing possibilities with this technology.
