Auburn looked a good bit better than us in Columbia. This is really the only game we have a chance in left this year other than Mississippi St

They beat us by 5 in a close game that was dominated by the two guards that do everything for them. They really did not look better outside of Denson and Harrell, but even Brenton factored out one of those guys. Had we gotten any kind of production elsewhere on the court we could have won the game.

That said to win this game we have got to stop Denson and Harrell. Heck even if we just pick one of those guys, we should win. They account for 50% of the teams points, and last game they scored 50 of their 79 against us. The turnover trio (Notice,Thornwell, Kacinas) need to take care of the ball also. Those guys turned the ball over 9 times out of 12 total against Auburn last game. It's time to take care of a the ball, and get one on the road.

They were up by 16 at one point and we just made a run at the end of the game to make it seem close. They were better than us on our own court so there is no reason to think that we'll be better on the road.

Brenton Williams sinks 15 straight 3's in shootaround

FWIW those with SiriusXM might find the game on around channel 200 - the last time the stats showed no SiriusXM coverage, I did find it on channel 199 (in the SEC channel group). Hopefully will find it again tonight

That same team just lost at home to Vanderbilt, who held Denson and Harrell to 26 points total and took 30 of Auburn's 62 shots. Like I said, if we shut those guys down, the game is winnable. Just because you lose one game doesn't mean you can't win another. That isn't even logical.

See how relaxed he is when is shooting there. If he wasn't so high strung during the actual game he would probably have like at least 6 threes a game.

There is no defense out there... You've got to be kidding me

He's pretty relaxed in the game, Auburn leads the SEC in 3-pointers.

:lol:The guy was ON FIRE last game. Guess you didn't watch? I'll go ahead and say it, Brenton is one of the best shooters we've had in the modern era. Wish we had more players like him.

He doesn't watch the games. He just likes to post things for the hell of it. Seriously, go read the Brenton Williams thread. He just has a personal vendetta against Williams for some reason.

Brenton Williams is helping Auburn's stats? He must be good.
:rotfl:

FYI: He's a Gamecock.

One thing the video doesnt well show is that Brenton is sort of a "push" jump-shooter: he shoots his shots from the chest like a half-court heave, instead of shooting the ball from above his head (look at Carrera's jumpshots). This means Brenton needs room in front of him in order to make his shot, or it's easily blocked/defended even by guards. When Brenton gets loose or free from whoever is defending him, he can go off. But if the defender stays tight on him, he struggles to make his shots...

The last game was UGA right? He started out on fire, then struggled mightly.

Defense matters little to 3 point shooting because you generally aren't taking shots unless you are open. If he doesn't want to shoot more 3s he needs to drive more and go to the foul line. The guy is underachieving big time.
