When does it go into effect? I've wanted access to the full WatchESPN offerings for a long time.

This is a good thing b/c it puts pressure on other providers to now pick up the SEC Network.

I know this has been asked before.

But there will be football games that will be strictly on the SEC network, right?

Yes I am pretty sure there will be games strictly on the SEC Network. The first game with A&M is on the network. I don't know if ESPN will broadcast it on one of its other channels as well since it is an early season match up and people will be itching for football.

I wonder what package tier it will be in? I think we have the America's Top 200 package. I am just as excited about the ESPNU HD and WatchESPN app access.

Yes, the games on the SEC Network won't be available on air anywhere else. If you have the network and your provider has a deal to allow full access to WatchESPN, you should be able to stream those games as well.

IIRC they plan on airing 2 or 3 football games per week (depending on the schedules). Our game with aTm is the first scheduled football game on the network.

So hopefully Verizon fios gets it.

I probably won't have it for the first couple months.

Wonderful.
