Blanton is a top 5 player in Georgia according to analysts that cover the state. He is going to be fun to watch.

Agree. He has nice mid range touch and scores after contact. Will be nice to see some of those tough buckets falling for the Garnet and Black.

Seeing is believing. I have heard this about our recruits for 3 years on how they can light it up and score. Then we find out they can't make lay ups.

Who exactly are you referring to? Thornwell sure has lived up to the hype.

Loading up on 1's and 2's is great but we need 4's and 5's. I like the two guards we are getting and the athleticism of the wing will help but we need some guys with D1 bodies and talent who can play down low or we simply won't work our way up much above where we are now. Carrera is a 3 playing the 4 out of necessity and the few actual bigs we do have are simply not that talented or athletic.

Stroman is closer to Ty Johnson as a player. He's a point guard who can get to the rim and set up others. He's also a capable defender and competes pretty hard. Prototypical point guard for a Frank Martin team.

Sheppard and Blanton seem like athletic wings who can bother opponents with their length. Blanton is probably more capable offensively but neither are going to light up teams with their perimeter shooting.

We have to drop 1 to make room for Sheppard, so I would guess Theus is on the way out.

Johnson/Shaw/Stroman
Notice/McKie/Blanton
Thornwell/Carrera/Sheppard/Steele
Henry/Kacinas
Chatkevicius/Ringer
