He is a major douche. Glad he did not kill someone though. Hope this humbles him some, he has been on dbag alert since he signed Luck.

He didn't buy the team. His father, Robert Irsay, who owned the Trane air conditioning company, traded for the Colts franchise. In 1972, Robert Irsay bought the LA Rams and traded the Rams franchise to Carroll Rosenbloom for the Balitmore Colts franchise (Rosenbloom owned the Colts). Robert Irsay was a complete idiot and his son certainly didn't fall far from the tree.

He was supposedly sober 16 or 17 years and proud of it.

I knew this guy was a drunk the day he let Peyton Manning go. Either that, or on drugs, one or the other.

Why would you overpay for 3-4 years of Manning on an otherwise pedestrian team and waste the development of the guy who was likely (now I'd say is) to start and be successful at the same position for the next decade plus? Especially considering the bargain you get while Luck remains on his rookie deal.

I don't know, why would you drive intoxicated when you can no doubt afford a chauffeur?

I contend that releasing Manning was a good choice. Guess we're just in disagreement on that.

Letting to Peyton for Luck was not a bad move but blaming Peyton for not winning enough Super Bowls with little to no defensive talent was beyond stupid.

He is the classic example of a guy born on third base and thinks he hit a triple.
