Re: Randy Rhoads
Loved Randys style. I started playing the guitar in part because of his sound. Jimmy Paige was the other reason. Rest in peace Randy.....

Re: Randy Rhoads
He is synonymous with heavy metal and Ozzy! Taken far too young from us.

I will tilt a glass to you, Mr Rhodes. RIP

Re: Randy Rhoads
RR was the first legitimate threat to Eddie Van Halen's prowess of the day. Amazing virtuoso.

I'm pretty sure the intro to Crazy Train is the first thing everybody tries to learn as a teenager.

Re: Randy Rhoads
Not sure Ozzy has the career he has had if not for RR. Maybe but RR saved his career at the time.

Re: Randy Rhoads
He died before I was born, but I know plenty about the talent he had through what he left behind. RIP

The ultimate shredder. What a talent.

Re: Randy Rhoads
The term 'great' gets tossed around more than it should but in his case I don't think it's enough. Easily one of the most talented and unique and ground breaking guitarists ever.

I actually believe his deal with Ozzy...Sharon...was holding him back on many levels. Rhoades was a legitimate savant.

And that TONE!!!!

He was so sick, I know Ozzy still thinks about this guy everyday.
