Seems like a longshot but I can't count out Frank Martin.

Not sure about his shooting but his strength seems to be finishing around the basket which we desperately need right now.

6-7 and 180? Wow that's thin for that height

It is, but he's just a kid. He'll gain weight once he's in a more professional environment.

Looks like we also offered Phil Cofer who committed to Tenn. He's a 6'7" PF coming in at 196lbs. But, Josh is ranked slightly higher than Cofer as a ESPN 100 recruit.

Strengths:
Cunningham is a warrior in every sense of the word. He impacts the game with his tenacity on the glass and major bounce. He has a nose for the ball around the hoop and he gets up twice before most get up once...

We have to upgrade the roster to keep up with the other SEC schools. I think we'll see a lot of attrition every year as long as CFM is in charge.

Josh is looking for a coaching staff that will push him and has a family environment. He has one more official visit left.

He can knock down the three.

Its going to come down to USC and Indiana apparently. Interesting enough, those are the two schools he is trying to decide on for his last OV, per TBS.

Thanks for the update. I heard indy is going after him hard, but it appears so is Frank. He certainly looks like the real deal and could help either program. His length and athleticism is exactly what we need.

I'm not sold on that being a consistent shot yet though. I'm sure there is high school footage somewhere of Lakeem Jackson draining 3's.

IU just lost 3 or 4 players to transfers so Crean is got maybe 1 year left up there.

Let's put it this way, I don't see anyone better on our offer list at this point in the 2014 recruiting cycle. He has obviously made a good impression on a lot of coaches from very good programs. Indiana isn't going to throw their eggs in his basket for no good reason.

We need long, athletic players that can play on both ends of the court and that is exactly what this kid has to offer.

I hope we get him too. We need more talent.

That hits the nail on the head. I hate to see some players have to move on after a short amount of time in the program, but we are in a rebuilding mode of all rebuilding modes. Frank had a history of attrition each year in Manhattan and he's not going to stop now. Hopefully in a couple of years we are at the point that we can take some guys as projects, but right now we need able bodies up and down the bench.

We need some decent big men in a bad way. And if we do land either one of these guys, get them on campus and start shoveling food into their mouths.

Split time between the gym and cafeteria.

At halftime of the Class 3A state title game on Saturday, Morgan Park’s Josh Cunningham complained to his coach, Nick Irvin, about the physical tactics of Lincoln’s big men in denying him position.
Irvin had one message for his 6-8 senior wing forward: “You’ve been held and grabbed your whole life. You get stronger, and you get tougher.”
“OK,” Cunningham said. “I will.”

Senior Josh Cunningham stepped up last week when his team needed him most, guiding Morgan Park to its second consecutive state title. For his efforts, he is the Sun-Times Athlete of the Week. - See more at: http://www.highschoolcubenews.com/ne....NKvl390Q.dpuf

We have a chance.
That is all Frank Martin needs...just give him a chance.
