Aggie Spring Depth Chart

https://tamu.rivals.com/cdepthtext.asp

Just skimming their depth chart this spring reveals a few things. They seem to be a bit inexperienced and undersized on both lines yet they will have no prob with finding a QB

Anyone could have picked up our depth chart last year and said the exact same thing.

I can only assume that chart means to add one year to the classification shown.

We were stacked on both lines last year.

We were considered inexperienced and undersized on both lines going into last season?

According to whom?

TAMU runs some tall WRs

I hope that 280 lb DT is an accurate weight (most likely isn't). If it is though, pound the rock right at him 20-25 times with our big ass linemen pushing him around and exploit that.

They are a pretty veteran team in the key areas. Coaches will have to get the boys playing well and clicking from game one. Can't afford to get off to a slow start against this team. Regardless of who their QB is.

Yep. And most are 4 or 5 *'s.

Their tallest WR isn't even on that list.

Some sites list him as 6'7. That's a big ole boy.

Dayum zen, you messed up reading my zen. In no way was I bashing your post. I commented on it. That's it.

And, I completely disagree with your disagreement. (no bashing intended). If someone didn't know our players last year, they would have seen very few seniors and easily surmised that we had a young and inexperienced line.

By the way, you didn't comment on my remark that the A&M depth chart shows the seniority of players being a year behind.

Yea A&M has skill players for days! They will put up points no doubt about it.

Pharoah will be an experienced and improved WR next year. Let's hope he has an Ace like breakout vs TAMU. I expect very very big things from Shaq too. I think USC can outmatch TAMU's highflyers. Hope the Byrd Man can be ready game one.

Our offense is all-around solid and our defense is a question mark.

TAMU's offense is a question mark and their defense is proven trash. I mean they were barely squeaking out wins in shootouts with a big time playmaker/Heisman winner at QB and one of the best WR's in the nation in 2013.

I like our odds, but anything can happen. Maybe their defense will develop into something D1 caliber in 2014.

Hoping we plan to pound the rock. They have almost no experience on the DL.

certainly not the undersized part. everyone was talking about how the OL was the biggest we've had in years/ever.

Re: Aggie Spring Depth Chart

I see two matchup issues right off the bat.
WR Ricky Seals-Jones and WR Speedy Noil.
Seals-Jones size at 6'5, 240 and Noil's speed.

Not sure we have a guy that can cancel out the jumpball ability...and we will need a physical corner to push Noil at the line...if he breaks free it will be like watching Damiere Byrd.

Not really worried with their defense....and we won't know how good their Oline is until the actual game gets going...and I don't think Joekel will be the QB..I think they really want Kenny Hill to be the guy.

They recruited the no 1 QB prospect in the country who is already participating in spring practice now. Hill may be in the dog house. If our D is stingy we may see TAMU use multiple QBs

Hopefully we can scare their young QB(s) early in the game.
