Buster Anderson out with injury

Spurrier said it was torn triceps. They are looking at it now to see if he will need surgery.

Sucks to hear, but hopefully he's ready for fall practice. Spurrier seems to think he will be.

Depending on the severity, it could be career ending. This is a bad injury. LINK. Prayers sent.

Spurrier doesn't have the best track record predicting recovery.

This is a big loss. Just lost our best perimeter blocker.

Huge loss for us. I hope the doctors find out it isn't too bad. Wish Busta a speedy recovery.

How does one tear a tricep other than lifting weights?

Stiff arming.

Re: Buster Anderson out with injury

A triceps muscle tear is graded one to three, and is either a partial or complete tear. A grade one is minor pain and swelling, with regular movement. A grade two is a partial tear that needs physiotherapy exercises for muscle repair and regain muscle flexibility. A grade three is a complete tear requiring surgery for muscle repair and up to three months (post-surgery) of physiotherapy rehabilitation.
I hope its a one!!! Prayers up for Rory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, it's a big loss. Adams may not be as good of a blocker but it's still good to have him there. He can catch some passes and would be a matchup nightmare.

For his and the teams sake I hope it is not too serious...was expecting Busta to have a big year

We have a guy who can replace his blocking. Jacob August is a complete
package as a pass cathing / blocking TE.

That said, I hope all the best for Buster and prayers are that his recovery
is quick and he's with the team opening day. ..... Buster is one of my
favorite players on the team. Would hate to see him not be on the field
this fall

^Apologies for the language in that gif. This sucks for Rory. Dude never complains and shows up ready to work every day. His skills and experience were really going to be needed this year...really hope he can play.

I'm not allowed to say too much, but after practice he seemed to be doing alright. I don't want to set anything in stone getting people's hopes up, but from the way he was acting it may just be a grade 1 strain.

For the record I'm not kept too much in the loop though, that was just an observation.

Busta* is a veteran we can use when the season rolls around, hopefully Busta* will be ready to play. If not, I sure hope Busta* can recover completely for himself, Busta* has NFL potential.

I won't get my hopes up until we hear confirmation, but that's a little bit of good news.
