Re: ESPN article on Clowney - Superman or Lazy?

That article has basically the best comment on the Clowney Bullshit I've ever, ever heard:

Quote:

All of you falling in for these sensational reports, please let him miraculously fall in the draft. I'd love for the Eagles to have him with a point to prove to all the naysayers. Go draft "Johnny Football" and see where that leaves you, besides having drake attend all of your games.
That pretty much says it all right there.

Clearly the writer isn't familiar with the Gamecocks. I mean at least get the teams damn colors right! She says red and black.. Smh.

Must be a slow news week to go over the same bickering about Clowney since the last time he played.

The article was pretty good and seemed to be very fair but day-um! The comments are brutal towards Clowney.

Why all the Clowney hate? He's a 21 year old kid and there is some serious vitriol from people.

the hate is usually from people that didn't watch carolina games, never heard of clowney until the hit, and only know what espn was saying at the beginning of last season. People like that just assume he is some diva that only cares about money and himself and that's really not him at all. If you notice, the fans, players and coaches of sec teams that had to play against him every year, and even clemson fans admit how good he really is.

It feels like ESPN is trying to manipulate the NFL draft.

I agree. They've already made up their minds and I think Clowney is headed to Texas. There is no quarterback that is a once in a generation player worth passing up Clowney for. Plus, the owner is an Gamecock.

Knowing Bob McNair, he is all about creating value for his team. If getting Clowney is the best thing to do, he wouldn't care if clowney played for Clempson.

JD is a bigger franchise player than any 2 QBs projected in the first rd. Not saying Bortles or Manziel will not show out....but they could all be flops. JD will not be a flop.

Clowney is more of a sure thing than any of the quarterbacks and there will still be some outstanding QB talent at least through the sixth round.
