Kevin Durant's MVP acceptance speech

My goodness, that was very different than most MVP speeches and really touching. When he talked about his Mom the crowd gave her a standing ovation. Having a mom that was willing to sacrifice for my brother, sister and I, that really hit me. If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor and look it up.

I did not see it and it may be refreshing but if they lose their next game at home he is going to have something else to cry about. Going fishing after round two of the playoffs.

I don't like that they have this award during the playoffs. Seems like a distraction to me. For the record I do really like Durant. Seems like a genuine and classy guy.

That's was an awesome speech. He seems like a very genuine person. I'm pulling for them to make it to the finals.

Aways liked Kevin Durant. I just hope if they make it to the finals, he comes out and plays angry. He seemed to get kind of "Punked" down last time they were in the finals against the heat.

That was touching. I would like to have seen the entire speech.

He played well in his finals appearance though his defense needed work he did not get much help. Im rooting for him but he reminded me of this generation of players when he said he would rather be called the servant instead of slim reaper. Its going to be near impossible to win a title with Kendrick Perkins starting and Scott Brooks coaching. MVP is much deserved.

He needs to get out of Oklahoma. Awesome player and better person.

Would like to see the Bulls part ways with Rose and find a way to get Durant.

Seriously? I like Durant a ton, but why would you want to throw Rose out?

Boozer hasn't done a damn thing in a while, still irks me.

He seems like a very genuine person and a great role model for young kids around the country.

When I have to travel for OKC for work, everyone always speaks VERY highly of him. And I don't mean in regards to his basketball talents or his money and fame...they always speak of how well mannered, approachable, and philanthropic he is in the area.

OKC people really love their basketball. Surprises me every time.

No, OKC needs some talent around him. OKC isn't a bad team at all.
