Yep. Happens to us every year though. Runners get to them and we can't convince them to stay

Vic already bought his mom a car too. WTF is he thinking?

Just bc you're boys with clowney doesn't mean you can live like he does.

...And a good bit of people on CT were saying these guys couldn't increase their draft stock by staying another year. Proving again how amazingly wrong that assumption is

Whether they got drafted in the 4th or didnt get drafted that doesnt mean they could have improved their stock, not everyone gets to the NFL. Kelcy was an all american this year, theres no way he would have been better. Vics just not that great and hes got off the field issues.

sure, there are many players that won't get drafted higher if they stay in school. so there is no reason for them to be in school unless of course they're you know getting something out of a college education...

Please most of these guys pick a major thats going to coincide with their schedule, it has minimal value in the real world.

Many times the "popular" vote on cockytalk is wrong. For example, I said no way Clowney runs under 4.5. Showed historical data supporting my statement. I was laughed at.

However everyone was quiet after he ran the 4.55. Garnet goggles cloud reasoning many times.

Its rare that people actually end up doing what they go to school for unless you're specialized like finance or law or something. A BA has value regardless. A degree is simply a credential that says "I has the dedication to do this". Most times you don't get a good look at really good career opportunities until you have some experience any way.

It's not 'amazingly wrong' because we don't know how their stock would have changed from an extra year. Alshon and Jasper Brinkley are two players who dropped in value during their time at USC. I think Vic would've benefited from staying, but there was nothing more for Kelcy to prove from a talent perspective (1st team All American, unanimous first team SEC) - maybe the offseason off-the-field stuff is scaring teams away?

Doubtful the night club thing which ended up being a non issue is scaring away teams. Hell, seantrel Henderson just got drafted.
