2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat project is a go

The Hellcat is “over 600 horsepower.”

Buyers of the 2015 Challenger SRT Hellcat can limit themselves or other drivers to “just” 500 horsepower (more than the 392’s top rating) by using the black key fob, reserving the red fob for racing or for themselves, according to Chrysler’s Russ Ruedisueli.

I think I'd have to damn near sell my soul to pull this one off. Which I would almost consider....

Wow! But where in the world would you be able to drive such a thing? There almost needs to be a special track for people with these kinds of cars.

The Boss 302 from Ford had the same option. Silver key was basic 444hp output. Red key was for Track Mode. Altered a ton of engine parameters and basically turned it into a street legal race car.

I love the Hellcat's version of it though. If you let somebody borrow the car, they still get basically the SRT-8 (plus 15hp), which is more than enough for somebody. Plus if they don't know about the two keys, they THINK they're getting the full experience, but YOU keep the key that unleashes the monster for yourself.

If one of these don't end up in your driveway one way or another, I will be so disappointed in you man. Mainly because I want to drive it when you do get one.

Maybe I missed it but I didn't see it on the link. How much is one of those things gonna cost? Anyone got an estimate if they haven't released retail price yet?
