Most overrated workout program out there. Young athletes stay away from Crossfit, get better at your sport, not better at working out.

99.9% of those crossfit leaders don't have a clue as to what they are doing. There are a lot of those lifts that are done improperly and way too fast, if you want to get stronger get a personal trainer but stay away from the crossfit if you don't want injuries like this.

while i agree, too many crossfitters try to do olympic lifts heavier than they should too fast. they should drop their weight, and focus on form.

that being said- regarding the pic you posted, you do realize crossfitters can take steps to protect their hands, right?

Cross fit gyms vary. Sometimes they actually teach form. It's a good community if you know what you're doing.

When your hands get to point and you keep going you are an idiot common sense was truly lacking in this case. Crossfit is another fitness fad for people to show off on social media to fulfill their narcissistic ego.

So maybe you'd rather people sit on their asses?

You do realize that studies have shown high intensity interval training, which crossfit includes a high degree of, has shown to be a better more efficient approach to fitness than long distance running and standard isolation weight lifting workouts, right?

That's all fine, but why is no one correcting these people in the vid? These noobs are going to get seriously hurt then will be sitting on their asses for a year or more.

Did you watch the video that weight was WAY too much for them so their form was horrible, if they were real trainers they would emphasize form instead of speed and weight. You want real training, train for a triathlon there is nothing more grueling than that. Those cross fitters want to be a great at exercising...

I try not to generalize an entire training approach based on one specific crossfit box. That would be foolish.

Except that video is the rule rather than the exception.

As for that ridiculous video, its been going around for a while. It's the "go-to" vid for people that want to talk crap about something they don't know anything about.
