Jim Harbaugh strikes me as an odd person. He just seems like he would be an ass on a day to day basis.

OTAs are offseason workouts. Coaches tend to be very relaxed and cracking jokes in order to avoid teams peaking early.
Listen to Spurrier in the spring vs in the fall. His intensity is night and day.

Ellington is throwing passes because SF is low on QBs in the OTAs for the time being. One of the reporters asked Harbaugh if he was cleared to play QB as well.

Kind of bad news on Marcus. I hope it's nothing serious that he is working through.

I hope he can play this year, I need to see Lattimore on a football field.

Something doesn't sound right..if it's not the knee then why not just say what it is?

A reporter in one of the articles said that he saw Marcus "initially reach back for his right hamstring".

He's just not used to that heavy wallet yet.

I sure hope Marcus makes good with the 49ers. He deserves it more than anyone I have ever seen. And they got a steal with Bruce.

I hate to think it, but I just don't see Lattimore making the 49ers long term. I think his body is too fragile from all that damage and time off.

You obviously don't know Marcus then. :spurrier:

You're right, I don't know him. Do you know him personally?

I'm a fan of Lattimore, and I wish him well, but the 49ers aren't going to wait forever, and with two prior knee injuries the chances of ML becoming a spring chicken anytime soon are zero. He has too much to prove on a couple of bad knees. It's not his fault that a scumbag Vol player would take him out, but we're dealing with the NFL now.

I see what you're saying. He was a very good football player when healthy but he was rarely fully healthy. His running style to this point hasn't been conducive to that, granted you cant attribute the knees to his style. He deserves it more than most and will certainly work hard but unfortunately many things are out of his control. We have to be careful what we say about him around here because many of these overly sensitive types cant tell the difference between honest opinions and attacks. I'm cheering for him and hope this is a minor, non issue but I'm also a realist.

Harbaugh's statement "its not the knee" means it is muscular and not ligament.. ML said earlier this week the knee was fine with no swelling but the muscles around the knee are sore.

marcus is using muscles he hasn't used in a long time. is there any wonder he is sore?

i've only met him once- back at the end of his playing days, and he was very nice, approachable. not odd or an ass at all in my one encounter.

I agree with a you completely but this is OTA workouts, non contact type stuff. He's bound to have some soreness but can he make if during full contact and a long nfl season? Yet to be determined obviously, I'm cheering for him 100% but I wouldn't bet on it

Interesting. I trust Harbaugh though in dealing with QB's.
