Pink Floyd

I just watched a biography on Pink Floyd. What is y'all's favorite song/album? My favorite album is "Dark Side of the Moon", but my favorite song is "Wish you Were Here" because it is about Sid.

My favorite song is "Welcome to the Machine". It's eerie. I love it.

I don't really have a favorite album, favorite tunes are probably "Fearless," "Astronomy Domine" and "Eclipse/Brain Damage." Honorable mention to "Echoes" from the Pompeii performance (much better than album version on Meddle). I have a soft spot for Syd's quirky songs, too.

Not a Huge Pink Floyd fan, but they did do some really remarkable stuff
with cutting edge studio technology. Good Live shows as well.

Dark Side of the Moon .. Definitely my favorite PF album. Run Like Hell
was one of their songs I could listen to a lot, so that would probably
be my favorite Pink Floyd tune

Agree with both, Spurt. I always thought that Run Like Hell would make a great walkout song, at least the instrumental part, before Roger Waters starts screeching.

I agree with other guy...Fearless is my favorite song. I guess it's cheating to say Pulse is my favorite album.

Album - Animals

Song(s) - Mother, Wish You Were Here, Dogs, Comfortably Numb...and even though it is an instrumental I have always loved Interstellar Overdrive.

I saw Pink Floyd in the LA Coliseum in like 1989-ish during the 'Momentary Lapse of Reason Tour'. It was the first tour since 'The Wall'...maybe 1981...and the first time you were hearing anything other than 'The Wall' live for I don't know how long. Roger Waters wasn't there but David Gilmore and friends sure were. Really good show with all sorts of shit going on...again...this was in the L.A. Coliseum and at one point a huge pig and a bed with the 'Evil Teacher' from 'The Wall' imagery were flying from one end to the other high above the crowd...I'm talking HUGE! So glad I got to see them live...even without Waters. Really one of the greats.

Got "The Wall" as a birthday gift at 13. My favorite because it was my first by them.

Favorite songs are Goodbye Blue Sky, Comfortably Numb, Time... Can't go wrong with Shine On You Crazy Diamond or Wish You Were Here.

I figured Time and Money would have gotten a few more mentions for favorite songs.

Shine on You Crazy Diamond, with Wish You Were Here a close second.
Loved the Wall, pretty much had the movie running on a continous loop my Junior and Senior years of high school. No idea how many times I've watched that movie, but it'sprobably over 1,000 if you count all the time it was on in the background.

Someone should mention that Pink Anderson (1/2 of the band's namesake) was a SC man!

Animals is my favorite album. Can't pick a song.

For all of you Animals fans - check out the Les Claypool live album when they cover the entire album. It's incredible.

The first time I watched the Wall was right after smoking weed for the first time. It was an interesting combo.

Those songs are way overplayed. While they are good Floyd has better stuff.
