Trencher

Does anyone have a trencher that they would let a fellow Gamecock borrow?

I am located in Irmo, SC and Home Depot is asking $71/4 hr. I am willing to rent and come pick it up from you. Just trying to find a better deal.

Thanks!

A walk behind? Or ride-on?

How deep are you trying to trench? I might be able to help...

Have you checked with Thompson Rental Services? I'ved used them before when I needed an auger or aerator and it was a good experience. The prices do not seem much different, but the rental is usually for a 24 hour period. I am pretty sure they have a location in Irmo near Jim Hudson Toyota I believe.

thanks for the responses!

ColaCock: I am installing an electric fence for my dog and only need to go down 3 to 5 inches. Definitely wouldn't need a riding one.

Ole Gregg: Might be getting in touch with you on that!

USC_Yogi: Thanks for the website!

Re: Trencher

If you only need to go down 3-5" and make a very narrow trench, you can probably use a ground saw instead.

I rent equipment and we have a branch in the Columbia area. It would still cost you something to rent it, but I could hook you up...i.e. 1 day rental to cover entire weekend, etc.

Re: Trencher

Use a lawn Edger. I had to install one too a few months back. Put a few more blades on it to thicken the trench and it will be perfect.
