Kind of old news.

I heard Clowney was leaving early for the NFL.

Haha this was the first time I had heard about it. Either way, I think it's a little over the top.

Are you criticizing that they're a bad team or his spelling? Because he spelled it right.

Why not? I mean upgrade your stadium to try and get some fans in.

I guess this means Jacksonville is trying to keep the team. I always figured it was only a matter of time before they moved to L.A.

Well, they are in process of upgrading the stadium with these pools in the North endzone that are part of cabanas that can be rented by groups. Since the entire NFL season runs from August until December, the first three months can be easily good for that. ( I went to a game a few years ago that my parking pass melted). They also are installing the worlds largest HD video board. The new owner and the city have combined to make this happen (Owner paid for part of it..I think a third to a half). He is also interested in developing some river front property that is near the stadium.

It's hard to believe that a move is in the works when he sank his own funds into this.

As far as winning, yeah it has been brutal the past few years. The previous GM drafted badly, and you can't win when that happens. None the less, this draft has a lot of folks excited. Rookie OTA's had over 6K on hand which is a record. The new owners and staff also are reaching out to the area, which is a nice change. They are scheduling OTA workouts in areas outside of the stadium such as a high school in St Johns county. It's also important to remember when making comments about their attendence that they have not had a blackout in years, which not every NFL team can say.

here is a link from when it was announced last year.

They better not be dumb enough to schedule the NFL game on the same day as soccer games.

I also don't see how hit makes sense financially to have a team over there so 8 times a year they have to make a 2 way trans-Atlantic flight. And what if they get back to back away games. Would they just stay in the states and practice? That just seems like a ton of money for a team that might struggle financially, specially when the team they are talking about moving sucks something horrible.

They're actually installing the world's TWO largest HD video boards, one in each endzone. The pools will be expensive tickets sold mostly to corporate/wealthy groups and will also make the stadium smaller so it may help remove some/all tarps. (its one of the bigger stadiums in the NFL now which was a bad idea).

For the poster who said Football will never pass Soccer in Europe, it doesn't need to. if Football could become a solid #2 in London that could still mean more fans than being #1 in Jacksonville.

New cabana seating
The Jaguars now have the dimensions for the two new pools they are building as part of the stadium renovation. Lamping told the Times-Union they will be 25 feet long, 12 feet wide and 3 1-2 feet deep.
Access will limited to 200 fans who buy the pool cabana seats. There will be four pool cabanas each seating 50 fans. The seats will cost $350 a game, though Lamping said the seats are being marketed for group sales.
