What is your favorite Will Smith movie?

This is a question that I love to ask people when I am interviewing them for a job. You would be surprised how much you can learn about someone just by asking this question. So Cockytalk, what is your favorite Will Smith movie?

BTW, the correct answer is "Independence Day"

The Pursuit of Happyness. Albeit, Independence Day is a close second.

Its not his best movie but I thought he was great in Bagger Vance.

I love Independence Day, but I like his performance better in Seven Pounds. I think I'm the only one who likes that movie though.

I think Ali ranks up there too.

I could only watch 7 pounds once. Touches the nerves too much.

Just watched Bagger Vance Friday night. I do so love that movie. No question he was perfect for that character.

I'll go with Vance. Really don't like Indy Day at all. Not a huge fan as a matter of fact, but that Vance character was good.

To me, Bagger Vance was the best thing he ever did in the movies.
Never cared for any of his movies at all, nor much for his role on
TV as The Fresh Prince of Bellaire. But Bagger Vance, and his part
in that movie was Really Good !

I just got through watching After Earth this past weekend with my son.
He thought it was GREAT ....... I thought it was "OK". (in spots).

Re: What is your favorite Will Smith movie?

Is this asking his best performance, or the best movie that he's also in?

I'll answer as if the latter and say The Legend of Bagger Vance, like others.

It is one of my personal favorite sports movies- even if it does perpetuate the 'Magical black negro' literary stereotype

Re: What is your favorite Will Smith movie?

This is tough one since most of his movies are pretty bad.

1. Six Degrees of Separation
2. Independence Day
3. Men in Black

Of those 3 the only one I really liked was 6 Degrees. I have not seen any of his recent stuff, well b/c ya know...Will Smith.

But I did like the Fresh Prince TV show when I was a kid.

Gittin Jiggy Wit it...oh wait

Enemy of the State.

And then probably Hancock. Did not like it the first time I saw it but it has grown on me as a guilty pleasure like Independence day did or maybe it's because I like to look and Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman is always great in everything.

Bagged Vance and Pursuit are both quality flicks. I never got around to watching seven pounds because I found out the ending.

Seriously, 'Pursuit of Happiness' and 'Six Degrees of Separation" were my favorite dramas, though 'Seven Pounds' was very good also. Overall favorite has to be 'Men in Black' followed by 'I am Legend'.
