Not quite sure why his only offers are from mostly small schools.
Film looked promising. Has the size and speed.

Maybe scouts aren't happy with his hip flexibility, or maybe the level of competition isn't good that he goes against.

He is on commitment watch this weekend from what I read earlier this week.

I think its grades that have kept the big schools away.

Good he should fit in well with last year's class.

I'm not sure he is a take at this point especially if Arnette commits. There are a few others higher on our board.

Without being too harsh I dont understand why we would settle here, we are in with much better prospects.

I don't think it's fair to say they are settling after they offered him in camp.

Looks like he is going to be a Gamecock before the day is over too.

I don't get this. Seems like there are better prospects ahead of him that we would take before him, like Arnette, Thompson, and Abernathy.

apparently coaches are really high on him after his camp performance....this kid makes Damiere Byrd look fat.

Garnet and black, I have to disagree with you. Just watched his film and he looks like a very good prospect. He makes plays in all three phases. He could really help us in the return game. I don't know how his grades are but I'd take him in a heartbeat.

247 thinks he terrible. He's even slow for a little guy? Something isn't right. I don't trust this rating. My issue is, I think we have enough WRs.

Wes Mitchell says he's a take. Somebody over there says he runs a 4.46

The reason he's so lowly rated, much like Wilder were grades. Why do you think he was committed to UNC-C? It's easier to get in.

According to him it's because it was his first offer. Furman offered later and I'd say they have pretty high academic standards. He stated in May that he's doing "very well" in the classroom. Sounds like more of a case of us "reaching" than grades.

2 issues with this post, he didn't look that slow to me......he's not a WR.

Reaching is a GREAT way to describe it, especially when you consider the 2014 secondary class and who we already have committed for this class combined with the ones left on the board.

After Charlotte (N.C.) Rocky River defensive back Jaire Alexander picked up an offer from USC on Friday following his camp performance, we brought our subscribers the news that he was planning a return visit to Columbia and that USC wanted to see his transcripts before finalizing an offer. Alexander has informed GCC that he is returning to USC this Saturday morning for another visit. He's sent his transcripts into USC since this past weekend (and Alexander is actually an early enrollee). If USC wants to take him (the staff has been discussing that this week), then he's a prospect that could be prepared to commit. We'll keep everyone posted.
