SEC Network

Well, we are 64 days away from kickoff and how many people out there will have the SEC Network? I see the only carriers so far are AT&T U-Verse, Google Fiber and Dish are the only ones.

Key period comes middle to end of July. If carriers don't have it then, they will have a hard time implementing it quickly enough to roll out for the early August programs.

As a DirecTv subscriber, I still hold to what I said back whenever - there will be hand wringing and finger pointing on both sides how the greed of the TV provider/ESPN is keeping you from the programming you deserve, then with time just about out agreements will be reached and all will be fine

I have Dish. We were looking into changing back to TWC or either Direct TV but I'm waiting to make sure they'll get it.

Didn't Time Warner and Comcast announce some merge a few months ago? Will this affect SECN?

Had a thread about this when it first happened. Not on the outset, their merger is going to take awhile. What it generally means is that its a great chance both will have it before actual launch.

i wish the SEC network would announce more game times for different teams so the fans of those teams can jump on board too.

Whole thing smacks of a money grab. I wonder how much of the schedule will be on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3.

They make no bones about it being nothing but a money grab. The SEC needs this to stay on top.

Verizon Fios better pick it up. They will lose customers a plenty if they don't. I would say same goes for Direct too.

Any chance the big name companies are just keeping it quiet? I don't see a point in doing it but I guess it could be an option.

I haven't heard that Fios is for sure not carrying it yet so I guess that's good news.

What, you don't want to have to rely on Ellis & Suggs informing you of the down & distance maybe every 3rd play?

directv plays hardball. the pac ten network is still not on there after two years. directv took a couple years to put espn 2 on and more for espnu..they will not budge unless the price is right.
