Sawyer should be added sometime soon assuming he's doing well academically.

247 said they are going to add him once they get a picture of what his grades look like after summer. If he's still on track to get here by Summer I next year, then they'll add him.

I read that too......but until he enrolls, I'm taking the "fool me once, shame on you....fool me twice, shame on me" attitude.

Given our history in these situations that's a smart approach.

I got a bad feeling Jones will go elsewhere (Tennessee) and Durant will be an academic casualty due to not being able to enroll early.

Unfortunately, I am beginning to feel the same.

PK has an update on DJ Jones, but I can't get the link to work, it takes me back to their homepage.

We may only get 1 of those (Palmer)

It just seems fishy about Durant, he may be an academic situation. Same with Sawyer...I won't count him until he can enroll.

Jones and Lewis go elsewhere

Paraphrased:

Says he plans to announce on December 13th.

Says he has the same top ten right now, in order, of Tennessee, Alabama, Clemson, South Carolina, Auburn, Southern Cal, Florida State, Ole Miss, Florida and Georgia.

But he plans to try and have it down to a top five by the start of his season.

Was back in South Carolina last week with Dante Sawyer and Chad Kelly.

He plans to take an official visit to Florida State on July 18th. Plans to return to South Carolina a few days before that and expects to make unofficial visits to Clemson and South Carolina at that time. He also plans to take an official visit to Tennessee.

If everything works out academically with Sawyer I think he'll be back in the fold. Trouble is we can't count on that given our history in these situations.

I think Lewis will be a Gamecock. It seems like proximity will be the deciding factor and we seem to have the lead at this point. Hopefully it holds up. Sawyer and Lewis would be a fantastic way to close the DE group.

I don't see Jones and Durant coming here.

I agree with this. I've been reading a lot of good things about Amonte Caban lately.....if we get him, Durant becomes expendable......and we aren't going to know about Durant till mid-late December.

I really wish Durant could get his grades sorted so he could make it here. Kid looks like an animal on the field.
