Re: Boaz family tree
Yeah...that would be the last sermon for some people in some congregations

Re: Boaz family tree
I get his point, but he took that a little too far in God's House.

Re: Boaz family tree
Why, is az a bad word? Some people are hypersensitive even for "God's House"
I am not a religious person and even I think this was a good way to make the point. |

Re: Boaz family tree
Its good for some Soap Box Preaching, but you don't do shit like that in a church. It's called respect.

Re: Boaz family tree
I laughed.

Re: Boaz family tree
It made his point was very humorous, but totally inappropriate for church.

Re: Boaz family tree
You guys are confusing me. I don't understand the separation between Church, the building, and Church, the people. You mean, as Christians, we should only respect God while we are at a Church building, and that we should hold ourselves to different standards depending on where we are physically located? I don't know about that...
Secondly, from my understanding, cursing in The Bible is more about intent that the specific word used. You probably have a lot more malice in your heart when you call someone dumb than when you say "I'm so f'ing tired." I see nothing wrong with the context of the second one but see a whole lot of wrong with calling someone dumb even though it is not considered a curse word. Ephesians 4:29 (NIV) 29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. |
