Rory Anderson

I know he is recovering from injury, I hope the senior TE is a factor in the offense this season. Our offense is great and I do not expect to see much of a jump in the production numbers from the TE spot but Anderson makes good plays out there.

IMO I think we'll see a little more from the TEs this year. I understand that the TE has never been a huge part of a Spurrier offense, but Jerrell Adams has had an outstanding camp from all reports. If that continues, I think Dylan would go to him more often.

I've suspected that we might see more TE targets since it was announced that Mangus would coach both QB's and TE's. In addition, having a QB less likely to run in tight situations might send more balls their way. All 3 of our upper-classmen TE's have talents that can be used, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a number of 2 TE alignments designed for run blocking and for passing.

It may not have been huge, but it has certainly been an integral and regular part of the Spurrier offense at SC. I can remember an awful lot of big plays made by tight ends in the last five years or so.

I think he's back to practice now, but I don't think he will have enough practice to play against A&M.....but I expect him back for ECU.

He's at practice, but he's still in yellow.

I do expect more TE production this year. Last year was almost like they weren't playing sometimes. I expect more production this year simply because we are going to be throwing the ball more.

Re: Rory Anderson

He is catching passes which is a good sign but I don't think he is going to be cleared any time soon.

It's the Jerell Adams show this year I suspect.

I'm thinking 25-30 catches.

Feel like Busta's been hurt for 2 years...Good thing we've had Jerrell behind him and now apparently out in front.

Weslye Saunders was used a lot when he was here. That's the last time I think we had a real presence at TE. We have the players capable of the same production, just haven't called their number as often.

Better receivers now

Re: Rory Anderson

Good Redzone targets though and having those 6'5" TEs provide a bigger jumpball target for the QBs.

Re: Rory Anderson

Yeah but we hardly, if ever, call jump ball plays for tight ends.

It's crossing patterns mostly.

In truth, we need all the bonuses we can get.
