I saw Michael at a con where he described the phone call when he was invited to join the cast of DS9.

"Hello.
No I'm not interested in joining the cast of Deep Space 9.
They're going to pay me HOW MUCH?
OK!
I'm a whore!".

Michael also related how he would take the prune juice home with him after the takes when he was required to drink it on the show. Eventually a number of bottles accumulated in his refrigerator, and one day his visiting mom opened the fridge, saw all the prune juice, looked at Michael and said "Are you all right, boy?".

I did asked him about his planes at that particular con, and he said he had sold his F-86. He also told about the time he got a ride in an F-18D.
