Time for some REAL discussion: best BBQ for tailgate?

A comment in a separate thread got me thinking about this topic.

I'm a Columbia, SC native (well, Gadsden) but haven't lived in the area for 20+ years and haven't lived in the State for a couple. Hoping to make it down for a game sometime this fall and always love getting some good BBQ for a tailgate.

Sike's on Garner's Ferry in Eastover was always my preferred choice but I heard they went out of business. Don't necessarily want to go to my fallback of Maurice's (Good stuff, but I prefer the non-chain variety). A good rule of thumb I've always followed: the less fancy the building, the better the Q.

What's good in the area now? Must be mustard-base and must have hash.

Piggie Park.

snicker

To be frank, I used to be a tomato-base BBQ snob until I tasted some mean mustard-base sauces. They can both be excellent, depending on preparation.
