Fantasy Football Draft Question

Anyone here play Fantasy Football? I joined a league with a couple of bros last year, 2nd year now. Finished 6 out of 8 last year...

Anyone have a simple way I should draft? What positions with each pick so to say? We are doing just offensive players and team defenses.

Thanks

GO COCKS!

Re: Fantasy Football Draft Question

The main pointer I would give is be sure to draft a RB first and most likely second... There is not many elite RB's and there are so many injuries throughout the season that position could make or break you. Also, my approach is to draft a good TE early (Jimmy Graham/Julius Thomas) for the same reasons. Not many elite TE's in the league.

I'm taking your last comment to mean that the draft is already over. One pointer I have for anyone else is that, depending on your pick, you shouldn't "plan" to draft a certain position in a certain round. Let's say you have the 7th pick in a snake draft in an 8 team league. Let's say the first 6 picks all take running backs. You should not even consider taking a running back with your first pick. Take the best QB, and probably take a WR with your second pick. If you were to take a running back first, or even worse with both of your picks, you won't have an elite running back and will also give up your chance to have an elite QB or WR. I think that feeling of "oh no all the good running backs will be taken" tends to mess up a lot if people's drafts.

Re: Fantasy Football Draft Question

Fantasy Football isn't much different from real football. Defense wins championship. You need to draft a top D early. You probably want to go ahead and get your bye week Defense in the 4-6 rounds. And you don't want to lose on a Special Teams play. Get you a good kicker early also.

Re: Fantasy Football Draft Question

First few rounds - RBs
Last few rounds - QB, Def, Kicker
