I don't know, but the clip was before the lower bowl was finished, so it must have been in the late 40's early 50's. They also stated that "McKissick Library" was one of the newest buildings on campus" and I think it opened in 1940.

The video description on YouTube (which isn't always the most reliable bit of info) claimed early 1950s, which means South Carolina almost certainly won; the teams tied in 1950 before the Gamecocks won the next four in the series.

That crop sprayer at the 7:35 mark looks like it's spraying DDT because of the whitish color on the tank (otherwise it was lead arsenate which is much worse). If so, the driver of that vehicle wasn't doing himself any favors.

Interesting video. I bet those Cockettes were the 'bees knees' back then.
