Re: UConn thoughts...

UConn will do that to you. Also, its kind of tough to run offense against great teams when your point guard isn't a threat to score or shoot

Re: Could this be the biggest week for hoops in USC basketball history?

And could barely be ranked if they take 2 of 3 lol

Re: UConn thoughts...

UConn is the San Antonio Spurs of NCAA Women's Basketball. They play such a precise and pristine style, and will easily interrupt the opposition's bread and butter. It seems like they're good no...

2 on 1 fast break and Cuevas takes it herself.

That's not coaching lol. They're kicking themselves.

Re: Back in the top 25?

As long as we make the tournament, I don't care. Beating A&M on the road should negate the Georgia loss and then some

Re: **USC (19-3) vs. Texas A&M (18-4) GAME Thread**

Agreed and it's notoriously harder to win on the road in conference play. This may be a "down" year for the SEC but these teams are well coached and will play their butts off. Even Mississippi State...

Re: Could this be the biggest week for hoops in USC basketball history?

I'm not old enough to remember anything quite like it. It's easily the biggest week that I can think of. I have tickets to the LSU and UK game, but wish I had tickets to the UConn game as well.

Re: **USC (19-2) vs. Georgia (11-8) GAME Thread**

There's nothing wrong with just being a good team in college basketball. As long as you have a chance at going to the tournament each year, then it's fine. Plus, it's a lot better than being what we...

Re: **USC (19-2) vs. Georgia (11-8) GAME Thread**

I think we beat MSU on the road, beat either LSU or UK at home, and beat Florida at home. That puts us at 12-6 in conference.

Take a guess as to why there are four players in the paint.

Re: **USC (19-2) vs. Georgia (11-8) GAME Thread**

I feel like our staff's primary goal is finding players who will defend, play with accountability and make the right basketball plays. I'm not sure perimeter shooting is a big thing for them based on...

Re: **USC (19-2) vs. Georgia (11-8) GAME Thread**

This team keeps shriveling up on the road in conference play. Geez.

These road losses are showing the hole in our offense. Our primary ball handlers (Dozier and Stroman) can't hit outside shots....

Re: Back in the top 25?

As long as we finish with 25 wins or so in the regular season and win a few conference tournament games, we should be a lock for the dance.

Re: Back in the top 25?

RPI is usually favored more than SOS. What's interesting is that of the teams with a top 50 RPI, we have the weakest SOS at 226.

Re: Back in the top 25?

RPI:
Our winning percentage x .25
Our opponents winning percentage x .50
Our opponents opponents winning percentage x.25

SOS:
2/3 our opponents winning percentage
1/3 our opponents opponents...

Re: **USC (18-2) vs. Alabama (11-8) GAME Thread**

I hope Stroman works on his offensive game harder this summer. His confidence seems to be really down offensively and he's not a threat to take a jump shot.

Dozier needs to flatten his shot some....

Re: **USC (18-2) vs. Alabama (11-8) GAME Thread**

Honestly, I'm not worried about Alabama if we do meet again. They play hard, but I think their win was a lot more fluky than ours was. Riley Norris isn't going to go for 30+ every night, nor does he...

Re: Worst 18-2 team in the nation....

The perception is that we beat up a weak non conference schedule and then have two bad losses on the road to Tennessee and Alabama. We're now 47th on Ken Pom, but the catch is we are 22nd in Luck...
