Re: Spurrier offers 8th grader, Dominick Blaylock (Mookie's son)

Why not?

It's not a binding contract, it's his first offer.

Can't please some of you guys. Y'all bitch because we aren't active recruiting, then turn around and bitch when we target a guy that...

Re: Anyone know who's visiting for Junior Day?

It's pathetic.

The article states clearly that he met with his primary recruiter and his potential D Line coach.

Sad thing is, someone will read his comment and jump on the bandwagon slamming...

Re: Anyone know who's visiting for Junior Day?

What do you mean "we didn't have time to talk to him"....he met with His primary recruiter (Jr) and Deke.

IIRC the HBC is limited on contacts and "bumps" he can have with a player, so that may...

Re: QB Competition Open Until the Fall

We seem to have 3 groups of posters here.

One group wants to totally discount anyone other than Mitch, and some of that group likely would let Mitch father their children.

Another group...

Re: QB Competition Open Until the Fall

A lot of these kids need a year in a S/C program to get the size necessary to play at this level, you need to be a special player to get quality playing time as a true freshman.

Teams that win...

Re: Dexter Wideman

You have to be kidding with that comparison.

Everyone doesn't have the ability to play DT.

Everyone DOES have the ability to be where they're supposed to be on time.

The other guys on the...

Re: Spurrier - "I plan to be the Play-Caller again."

The TBS article linked earlier states that Jr called the entire Clemson game, and Mangus called "most" of the UK game.

He's admitted several times before he doesn't call all of the plays, stop...

Re: QB Competition Open Until the Fall

What's Noso proven at the SEC level? He's scored a running TD against Arkansas.

Realistically, Noso probably won't play here again, unless he's used as a change of pace running QB to keep Pharoah...

"Technically eligible for the draft again"?

Which draft are you talking about?

Re: Effect of the Lost Scholarships?

Add 2 or 3 guys that were better than who played to the defense and we likely win 10 or 11 games this past season. Pick a position. We were slow at DE, out of shape at DT, Brison played with one arm,...

Re: 2016 - Thaddeus Moss

6'4", 240 lbs, rated as Athlete...what are we recruiting him as? WR? He may grow into a TE, as big as he is he could be 6'5" or 6'6", 250 or 260 by the time he hits a college weight room.

Re: Mitch Enters Spring as #1

Well, to review, 1) the staff saw something in him that you don't, because they not only went against their usual policy and talked him out of transferring, they also asked him to move back to QB 2)...

Re: Mitch Enters Spring as #1

He may not see any more playing time here.

That said, you stated that no one had seen him run the wildcat, when in fact he ran for a TD against Arkansas a couple of years ago. Sounds like you...

Re: Mitch Enters Spring as #1

SOS has never seemed to a problem with players wishing to transfer, and that goes all the way back to his UF days.

For whatever reason, it appears an exception was made with Noso last year when...

Re: Nosovitch back at QB per Spurrier

He thought about transferring, and the staff apparently talked him out of it. Typically they don't do that with someone who wants to transfer.

He didn't "decide to switch to TE" the staff switched...

Re: Victor Hampton In The News...

Last I heard Watson was in jail.

Vic's a fringe player at the NFL level. If he could've stuck with a team he may have played a couple if years, but now he's likely missed the boat. The draft is...

Re: Victor Hampton In The News...

Teams are more apt to take chances on a franchise-type player than they are on a fringe player. There's a lot of fringe-type guys available that carry less baggage than Vic.

The draft is coming...

Great show, and even better casting for most of the parts. The actors do a very convincing job playing their parts.

Exactly. It's not like they're tearing down the State House, they're moving a twenty-something year old chicken franchise a block away.

Then they turn around and...

Re: 2016 - Saivion Smith

Depends on your perspective.

It's easy to say "5 star guys from Florida don't come here" when we really don't aggressively pursue those guys.

We'll never get them if we don't aggressively...

Re: An early look at South Carolina’s 2015 QB battle

Agree 100% with you.

We have several options to use if we want to run Wildcat. And hopefully we have a couple of other recieving options that can step it up if defenses start doubling Cooper.

Re: Winter workouts ???

I used to like seeing the hype videos too, but after seeing our guys pushed around and ran around this past season I'd rather not see the video and see them kill it on the field.

Good to see HBC...
