Re: Article on Shaw & the Browns QB merry-go-round

Dang, the accuracy and writing of just about everyone is at rock bottom these days.

Re: Texas AM getting too Cocky?

I think Sumlin is a smart coach and he is loaded with talent. Experience is at a premium, so they can be wildly inconsistent. When they click, I will assume that they might be unstoppable. Let's...

Re: Anyone heard anything about us playing Florida State in Atlanta?

college games should be home and home. I just don't like these neutral site games. Even UF and GA went home and home when the jacksonville stadium was undergoing a face lift -- the world didn't...

Re: Discussion: 2015 Recruiting Impressions

There are 11 or 12 schools (or more) below us that have a higher "per-player" avg rating*. If the rest of those schools' classes stay on average, then they will end up ranked higher than USC.

Re: undrafted player options if not offered CFA?

It seems like Vic should have been drafted late or got a free agent look from somebody! I think that personal stuff right before the draft hurt him worse than his size and his underwhelming combine...

Re: Coach: Gamecocks 'bowl national champs'

You have to put that in context of the whole conversation. SOS isn't bragging, he is making fun of himself.

Re: ESPN Weighs in on Palmetto State Supremacy

Clemson's win over Ohio State in a BCS bowl in primetime tv is a very big deal. It does help with their recruiting and national "perception". Plus they looked pretty super for some stretches in...

Re: Dabo Sweeny taking shots at Steve Spurrier and South Carolina.

Those comments by HBC and Dabo are for the fans of both teams. There is nothing wrong with a little back and forth. I, for one, am glad to see Sammy Watkins move on (ha, ha). He never dominated...

I can't believe the season is over...

... didn't it just start???

I was one of those that thought this was going to be a very rough season. With all that was lost on the D-line and in LB's, I thought the "D" was going to struggle...

Re: 2014 might be a tough year

I thought 2013 was going to be very rough. The D-Line losses (two NFL'ers) and all the LB's meant the D had to struggle (and they did). The "O" improved, but they were still hot and cold at times. ...

Re: **USC vs. Clemson GAME Thread**

We have to establish the run -- unless we can throw a TD pass (ha, ha). Clemson is definitely a better team than in the last couple of years, but I still think USC is a bit better.

Re: **USC vs. Clemson GAME Thread**

I am surprised how good the clemson run defense has been. Please make it it 21-7!

Re: Something I've noticed about the rivalry since Spurrier took over.

I am also another UF grad who "came over" with Spurrier (has it really been 9 years?). I have learned some of the pain that goes with being a gamecock fan. It has really been a struggle.

Re: The Florida Game

Looks like UF had the game against Vandy they we had against UF last year. Vandy was held to 183 yards of offense and scored 34 points! The UF QB was 30-46 with 305 passing yards. Throw this...

Re: SEC championship game or Sugar Bowl....article

You can't win the SEC championship without going to Atlanta. It's the SEC CG scenario for me.

Re: CBS Projects Sugar Bowl

I'd rather go to the SECCG no matter what the post-championship scenario is. If we win the SEC outright, we will go to the Sugar Bowl.

Re: I know it's all about Shaw, but Dylan played well...

This. I just watched the first half again. DT played OK. Yes, he missed a few throws that you would like to see him hit, but the gamecocks were moving the ball very well on Mizzou with DT in...

Re: Clowney discussion--no bashing

If Clowney was healthy enough, then he would have played. If he can't run, then he would hurt the team by trying to play.

I don't know why everyone thinks he has "quit" on the team -- that is...

Re: Clowney took himself out of the game.

It certainly seems to me that when Clowney is in there he is giving full effort. He is being double and tripled teamed. All players get tired and "take a play off" if they are not substituted for....

Re: ESPN Ranks Outback Bowl #5 Most Interesting

Opposing teams just have to say "we are not going to let Clowney beat us". You put 2, 3 guys on him every passing down and you will stop him 95% of the time. Of course, the other gamecock d-lineman...

Re: Can someone explain to me the rationale behind starting Shaw today?

Maybe Spurrier believes that this week's game is as big as next week's game. I know it is hard for some of you to fathom, but you can't win 11 if you don't win the 10th, if you don't win the 9th.
