Re: SC Pro Am

That's awesome, good to see that bodybuilding program paying off in the offseason.

These kids are going to be good once they keep working out and keep practicing with our coaching staff. It's a...

Re: SC Pro Am

No Seventh Woods or P.J. Dozier this year.

Every current Gamecock player except Ty Johnson and Shameek Sheppard (ACL) is playing.

Re: Shamiek Sheppard Possible ACL Tear

Well Sheppard is only 6'6 and sounds like he plays closer to LaKeem Jackson.

Henry and Chatkevicius just have to be a lot more mature in their play this season. Both of them were touted as guys...

Re: Shamiek Sheppard Possible ACL Tear

Keep in mind we only lost 1 consistent rotation player from last season. Martin wasn't going to play all 4 freshmen. Stroman or Blanton were always going to have the biggest roles if he goes deep...

Thank God for Air Conditioner. No chance I'm dying in that mid-afternoon heat.

Re: Robert Carter - Georgia Tech transfer

Murphy would've been so useful for a couple of the years. Darrin freaking Horn.

Re: Just met Frank Martin at my local convenience store.

The first time I met him was last year. I was getting a sandwich from the Subway/Shell on Assembly next to the Wendys in the afternoon. I was looking at my receipt when I opened the door, I looked up...

Re: James Thompson - 6'9" 215 PF - 2014

Uh, what other route would you suggest? 5-star basketball recruits aren't committing to South Carolina's Men's program, unless they're maybe from the state.

Kentucky and Florida are two of the...

Re: Marcus Lattimore statue

And what did he ever win?

We can't just go retiring numbers and giving out statues because Player X was a really nice guy or something. Lattimore has the best case to have his number retired, but...

Re: Robert Carter - Georgia Tech transfer

Great rebounder, which we could use. He would have to sit out a year, but it would work well.

Re: Jaylen Shaw to Transfer

Shaw shot 40% from three and made 88% of his free throws. Small or not, he's got a lot of talent and he's a very good shooter. I guess the writing was on the wall when Stroman came, but I think...

Re: Jaylen Shaw to Transfer

This sucks. Shaw could've been a pretty nice guard for us. He's athletic as hell and can shoot the three.

Currently, Sindarius is our only legitimate perimeter threat. The lack of shooting worries...

Re: Clowney goes when in the draft?

I don't think Houston has a better choice right now than to take Clowney #1. He's clearly the best talent available. Only way they should re-consider is if a team gives them an RG3-type haul for the...

Re: "Poor man's Johnny Manziel"

What's false about that?

Mel Kiper: “Connor Shaw is that gritty, competitive overachiever type quarterback that probably looks more like a career backup than a starter. I think he’s a fifth- to...

Re: "Poor man's Johnny Manziel"

Love our former players, but come on. Shaw could go anywhere from the late rounds to undrafted. Manziel is a guaranteed first round pick and that's for obvious reason.

Shaw has:

Re: Desmond Ringer transferring to Mercer

Henry, Chatkevicius and Kacinas are all better, so it's not much of a loss. Ringer hardly played last season.

I'm sure he won't be the only one who leaves. I bet Theus and/or McKie joins him.

Re: Texans' Bob McNair: Jadeveon Clowney is best in draft

They don't play anything alike. Only thing they have in common is being celebrity quarterbacks at the college level.

Manziel has a chance to be a franchise quarterback. Everyone and their momma...

Re: Josh Cunningham Power Forward (2014)

Chatkevicius and Henry were/are both billed as low-post players. They just haven't had a great impact so far.

Chatkevicius showed encouraging signs last season. He increased his fg% by a lot, and...

Re: Josh Cunningham Power Forward (2014)

Yeah, because we didn't land a 4-star guard last year (Sindarius), a 4-star PF (Henry), a 4-star transfer (Ty Johnson) and a 4-star point guard this year (Stroman).

Cunningham wanted to stay close...

House said that he's going to seek an immediate transfer because of the coaching change at Houston. There are some schools where he would have to sit out a year. Maybe that could make South Carolina...

I think the home game against Baylor is going to be the SEC-BIG12 challenge.
