Re: Top 5 priorities for spring practice

I'm not losing sleep, but stars aren't impressing me much lately. I want to see them actually play before I decide they can replace A. J. Cann, Corey Robinson, and the rest.

I also agree with...

Re: Top 5 priorities for spring practice

I'll wait until the spring game is over before forming an opinion. I'm sure whoever wins the job will be good. I'm actually more concerned about the O line and the lack of experienced receivers. We...

Re: Top 5 priorities for spring practice

In other words, you were bashing him. I saw dropped passes all season. Busta dropped a TD pass during the 2014 Mizzou game. In other games, DT hit receivers in the face mask, and they dropped it. Not...

Re: Top 5 priorities for spring practice

Exactly so. People who wanted to bench DT think they wouldn't have minded losing those three games. They can't grasp that the problems on defense put undue pressure on the offense and led to...

Re: Top 5 priorities for spring practice

So far you've had 20 posts, and two of them attack DT. He's gone, bro. How many names do you have?

Re: Roberts leaving program

Bo Wallace caught more grief than anyone on our team. That doesn't make it right. If we expect players to control themselves, we should control ourselves.

Re: Roberts leaving program

When I saw it happening, I looked at the accounts and profiles of the bashers. The great majority of them were Gamecock fans. Not surprising since I heard it all the time at the games.

ZenUSC is...

Re: Roberts leaving program

Or maybe fans blasted him all season on his Twitter account. I know for a fact that happened to several of our players. It's bad enough to make a general statement involving a player's name on...

Re: Some Blame Twitter on Rise in Recruits Flipping

Agreed. I've been saying this all year. When fans vent on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and other social media, everyone sees it. Some of our players live on Twitter and Instagram. They read...

Re: “To Kill A Mockingbird” Author Harper Lee To Release Second Book

Those are all good, too. Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath is a must read, IMHO.

Oddly enough, I have never liked Hemingway's books.

Re: “To Kill A Mockingbird” Author Harper Lee To Release Second Book

Those are all good. I would add Animal Farm, The Chronicles of Narnia, and Out of the Silent Planet. I like all of Frank Peretti's works and most of Ted Dekker, too, though I don't think any of...

Re: Johnny Rehab....

No, but he constantly illustrated that he is a spoiled, rich, over-indulged kid.

Did you even read the last sentence of my post? I said that I hope he gets help. I never said he didn't deserve it.

Re: Johnny Rehab....

My brother was an alcoholic who destroyed his immune system and died of leukemia.

Johnny is a spoiled rich kid who has been indulged to the point that he sees himself as entitled and above all the...

Re: An early look at South Carolina’s 2015 QB battle

Exactly right, and you can't have a dual-threat as your main guy without a very capable backup. He will go down. Look at DeShaun Watson.

Shelf life of a dual-threat in the NFL is said to be three...

Re: An early look at South Carolina’s 2015 QB battle

He played against USA, too. Which games would you have put him in? We needed every point we could put up, and we couldn't afford to lose any momentum.

From all I've heard, he works hard and he's...

Re: KJ Brent

I have often thought that Connor and Dylan helped each other to be better (and both have said so). Dylan constantly pushed Connor for the starting job (according to Connor) which made him work and...

Re: KJ Brent

I agree. Without his blocking, Pharoh wouldn't have made that TD in the Independence Bowl.

He also caught nearly everything that was thrown to him.

I wondered why he hadn't been playing all...

Re: Dylan Thompson, the NFL, and what could have been this season.

It's a weak QB class. QBs will make a roster this year that wouldn't have made it in previous years.

Jim Zorn (HC, West): When you're a former quarterback, who has coordinated offenses in the NFL,...

Re: Dylan Thompson, the NFL, and what could have been this season.

It does make you wonder. 3 of the 6 Qbs threw interceptions. Heinicke was 2/9, Fajardo was 2/6, and Thompson was 1/6. Did everyone's arms stop working? Could it be that the QBs and receivers didn't...

Re: Dylan Thompson, the NFL, and what could have been this season.

You may be right, but it will have nothing to do with this game.

Last year, Connor didn't fare much better in his senior game in California. He threw an interception, too, and he made an NFL...

Re: Dylan Thompson, the NFL, and what could have been this season.

You are misinformed. Coach Korn had the QBs to draw their names out of a hat. They played two series each in the order they were drawn. Thompson drew number 3. (The announcers said this.)

The...

Re: Dylan Thompson, the NFL, and what could have been this season.

I've followed the reports, too. He was better yesterday. In the words of one scout, "He sucked less." Ouch again, but Spurrier always said that Thompson is one of those guys who plays better than he...

Re: Dylan Thompson, the NFL, and what could have been this season.

You misunderstand. I meant that had Mike not fumbled that ball, he would have scored on a TD pass, not a recovered fumble. Because he fumbled it, the TD didn't go on DT's stats.

He took huge hits...

Re: Dylan Thompson, the NFL, and what could have been this season.

Do you have video or a photo to back that up? It seems out of character for him, and he never shied away from being hit.

At the end of the Florida game, he stood in place to draw the defenders...
