Re: Move Shaw to WR for senior season
NOTHING has been said that wasn't obvious prior to my post.
I was aware of what his record as our QB is. That is basically the argument presented.
Everything else has just been disagreements...

Re: Move Shaw to WR for senior season
Simply not true.
Corey Jenkins played 3 games at linebacker in college and then went on to play a few years in the NFL as a linebacker. Tebow could easily switch to fullback or TE just like Colin...

Re: Move Shaw to WR for senior season
Ellington starts playing basketball again after 2 days of practice
Clowney has averaged practicing only about 2 days per week due to his foot injury
DeAngelo Smith has practiced at WR for 3...

Re: Move Shaw to WR for senior season
So if Thompson wins the QB job this fall for whatever CRAZY reason....would you want Shaw sitting the bench or on the field somewhere helping the team?

Re: Move Shaw to WR for senior season
I have barely posted on here in years and it saddens me every time when I do to see how people can't think outside of the box or see anything except what they are accustom to.
Next year if Shaw...

Re: Move Shaw to WR for senior season
Shaw is a WR/ATH playing QB. We love him for how athletic he is, not because he can stand in the pocket and zing the ball around like Tom Brady.
You guys are fooling yourselves if you think he is...

Re: Move Shaw to WR for senior season
I would love to see Clowney run the ball in goal line situations a couple of times next year. He would knock the head off any defender that tried to tackle him.

Re: Move Shaw to WR for senior season
Excellent example! Robinson was never going to get drafted as a QB, so why not benefit the player and the team by adding more weapons on the field.

Re: Move Shaw to WR for senior season
Shaw should be cross trained at both positions and he is one of the few that could handle the load. Thompson will play some next year, no question about it. Surely we can all agree on that. So why...

Re: Move Shaw to WR for senior season
That is ridiculous. No one is sending Shaw to the moon. If Thompson gets hurt or struggles Shaw moves back over to QB. Nosovitch would only play if Thompson and Shaw got hurt, which would be the same...

Re: Move Shaw to WR for senior season
Don't you think the QB knows the routes since he is the one throwing the ball to the spots on the field?
Yes, we have a major issue at WR, especially if Ace goes early this year.
You obviously...

Re: Move Shaw to WR for senior season
We WILL run a 2 QB system next year, no doubt about it. Spurrier isn't going to let Thompson sit on the sidelines now knowing what he can do when Shaw isn't connecting on passes. So why not have them...

Re: Move Shaw to WR for senior season
I think Shaw probably has a pretty good understanding of the playbook and where he would need to line up at any receiver spot on the field. He is a film room junkie and super high football IQ. If...

Move Shaw to WR for senior season
Here are the reasons why:
1. Improve his NFL draft potential. He does not have the size or arm strength (velocity, not distance) to be an NFL QB.
2. He played WR his entire life up until his JR?...

Re: 13 in BCS
Look at the BCS rankings, there are at LEAST 6 teams that will lose before the end of the year. If we win out we could sneak up close to the Top 5 in the country.
Here are the teams ahead of us...

Re: TV for USC / UGA.
Yes, Disney owns both ESPN and ABC but that has nothing to do with their scheduling contracts.
The only 2 national networks that can show SEC games are CBS and ESPN. If neither of them choose to...

Re: Myrtle Beach Get Together For Vandy Gane
You definitely want to go to either Dagwood's in Surfside or Bumstead's in Myrtle Beach. They are both owned by a Gamecock fan and alum. GREAT food and best atmosphere for a Gamecock game in MB.
