Re: 2015 Commitment - Dexter Neal, Jr.

He'd be foolish in my book to pass up that kind of guaranteed money. Unless he is very sure he is a better football than baseball player.

Re: Transfer QB

If Nosovitch had left last fall he could have:

1) Gone to juco like McEvoy. Hopefully a good enough year he would draw some interest while he looked around for a good fit a major school.

2)...

Re: Transfer QB

Okay I feel the same way as far as the staff wasting a year of Nosovitch's football life.

But the bolded part, do we really know that? What is evident is that the coaching staff, including...

Re: 2015 - Arden Key

All I can say on the Dabo thing is they used to not get very many highly ranked linemen.

A few years ago they started to get highly ranked defensive linemen.

This year they are getting very...

Re: Transfer QB

Well looking at the number of sacks he took, whatever Golson gives you that isn't his strength.

Re: Transfer QB

I'd like to have him too, but if I had my druthers I would prefer someone who could run better than Golson.

I am kind of surprised that someone who was supposedly a good hoops prospect as well...

Re: Transfer QB

This past season:

Dylan Thompson: 270 of 451, 59.9% completion percentage, 3564 yards passing, 7.9 ypa, 26 td's, 11 ints, 25 sacks, 140.4 QBR

Everett Golson: 256 of 427, 60% completion...

Re: Transfer - OL Cory Helms

He seems like a good prospect. But since he wouldn't see the field till 2016...

Plus if he did have a good year he would be eligible for the draft at that point.

Doesn't bug me if we actually...

Re: Rasool Clemons

Virginia is one of the better state schools in the country. Much harder to get into than say Alabama (or here). Probably harder than North Carolina.

I just don't think they can offer guys with...

Re: Rasool Clemons

You wouldn't think it would be grades, or he never would have had a commitable ofer from Virginia.

Re: 2015 Commitment - Christian Pellage

It really has been down. Or maybe the Alshon/Gilmore/Lattimore/Clowney run was abnormal.

Probably a little of both, but normally a guy like A.J. Green comes up every year or two, but I can't...

Re: Question for CoverTwo and other recruiting gurus

Geez, I've never been one to shy away from a thread fight, but it really gets ridiculous around here.

I will say though that Clemson has really stepped it up the past two years recruiting wise.

Re: Discussion: 2015 Recruiting Impressions

Yeah. Lot of emo, drama, and tooth gnashing.

But in the end there is something you can't escape: Everything on this team goes through Spurrier. And that is not exactly meant in a positive way....

Re: Discussion: 2015 Recruiting Impressions

Crazy pills. It must be the crazy pills.

Uh... you have missed a whole lot. There are a number of threads about the playcalling from the past season, and a lot on his general recruiting or lack...

Re: Discussion: 2015 Recruiting Impressions

Who's going to make him?

There are a lot of things I don't get about Spurrier's thought processes. A whole heck of them don't make sense to me (and a lot of other people).

But whatever. I...

Re: 2015 Commitment - Devante Covington

Hmmm did a google and found this:

29 solo tackles, 10 assists, 5 sacks in 10 games.

Wow no info on this guy on any of the links. What kind of season(s) did he have at Georgia Military?

And was he recruited by anyone else?

Just seems like a head scratcher. Normally guys have...

Re: Favorite College Coaches

Bill Snyder to me. I think he has been a better coach than anyone since he took over Kansas State.

And despite his age, they just keep on winning. It will be a sad day when he hangs it up...

Re: Question for CoverTwo and other recruiting gurus

One problem with that theory is that the guys you are talking about as coming back with experience will probably not play too much if Lewis, Wideman, and Sawyer do as well as hoped.

Additionally...

Why do you get to say that about someone's post?

Why is that exactly?

I think his posts have been spot on.

Re: Question for Cover Two and other recruiting gurus

A new streak can always be started.

I took another look at their commitment list. It is very good. And I saw four names on that list of OL guys we actively recruited: Hyatt, Giella, Green,and...

Re: Question for Cover Two and other recruiting gurus

Not sure about defensive line, but they dwarfed our offensive line recruiting this year, getting a number of guys signed that we recruited directly with them for.

I think they have done very well...

Re: Transfer QB

That... is a pretty incomplete thing to post.

Before it can possibly make sense, tell me exactly what kind of offense we run, what we are trying to do, and how we are going about it.

I thought...
