I'd highly suggest playing the original first. You should be able to pick it up for 10 bucks or so on steam or ps3/360. Playing the first one adds a little more to the story knowing how everything...

I've put 4 hours or so into it so far but it's everything I wanted.
All the reviews have hinted at an amazing ending that will make you want to start the game back over immediately so I can't wait.

Played it. Pretty good so far. Still some issues for nvidia graphics cards but other than that its pretty good. If you are buying on a console it should run just fine.

Currently getting 15-25 on Rage, Highest Settings. Crysis 2 around 15, maybe 20 fps on extreme everything (DX11 pack and Hi Res Packs patched in as well).

The only thing I have set on Nvidia control panel is that it is in sli and I gave it a performance over quality slant while trying to figure out what was up in Crysis 3.
I will run fraps on Crysis...

PSU is a thermaltake 850w. All bios are default settings. Did just bump the cpu up to 4.1 from 3.9 and a 1ghz bump on the gpu. Rosewill Thor case with some giant fans so cooling shouldn't be an issue...
