Football ticket renewal phone calls
Just curious if there are any other slackers like me that always wait until the last minute to renew your football tickets and get the recorded reminder call from a player or coach. I just got mine...

Re: 2014 - Drew Barker
He's nimble for his size I was just fascinated watching his highlights how much bigger he is then the rest of the guys on the field.
What I did find interesting about his motion was that it was...

Re: 2014 - Drew Barker
I just don't see him being able to run like that in college. He's so much bigger physically than the guys he's playing with its like watching a group of 10 year olds trying to tackle a high schooler....

Re: 2014 - Drew Barker
I think it's a testament to Coach Elliot as well. The staff really focussed on recruiting dual threat QBs because the oline play was so iffy but we've seen the line improve and a move back to the...

Re: Spurrier, SEC Deal and paying players
The athletes can get jobs. They are no NCAA rules that state they can not work. They do say they can't have a job where they get paid and then don't show up for work or they can't be paid more than...

Re: Spurrier, SEC Deal and paying players
I can show you a number of people who in that situation would wrap the month with $200. The school provides housing and food on top of that $200. There's a lot of people that would be happy having...

Re: Spurrier, SEC Deal and paying players
Why not just take an average of the salaries a normal student working and then pay that to the athletes in place of the scholarships and all of the other perks they get? If they don't think they get...

Re: Shout out to a Gamecock
In keeping with part of the original theme:
Football: Kenrick Ellis - Too bad you couldn't leave off the first part of puff, puff, pass rush.
Basketball: Mike Holmes - A better rough houser at...

Re: Jets release Tebow
I don't think the NFL is an entity to make a decision and I don't think Elway is worried about his "legacy". As for the Ryan statement I believe that is 100% true. Rex Ryan may well be the worst head...

Re: Jets release Tebow
That's fine. The problem with the other comment is the picking and choosing pieces to try and prove a point. His mechanics and completion percentage are actual issues but attempting to discount wins...

Re: Jets release Tebow
This is without a doubt the worst combination of posts on this thread. I guess this means the NFL is full of terrible QBs since over half the leagues QBs are now 0-1 in their last game.

Re: Jets release Tebow
The point is winning is what matters. People try to justify away the wins with stats and say the wins were all against bad teams but the end results don't change. You simply can't say Tebow can't QB...

Re: Jets release Tebow
The jump is finding any excuse why winning football games doesn't matter as much as passing stats. No one has ever said Tebow was going to average 300 yards passing but again last time I checked...

Re: Jets release Tebow
But he wasn't the best QB last season and all that counts is throwing for the most yards. It's not like Tebow didn't complete any passes when needed. Seems like that playoff game was won with a pass....

Re: Jets release Tebow
The Broncos lost to those same garbage AFC teams before Tebow took over at QB and if losing to the Patriots means a guy shouldn't play QB would there be any other QBs in the league?

Re: Jets release Tebow
So winning isn't the most important part? Someone needs to let the Ravens know to give their Superbowl title to the Packers since Rodgers was the better passer.

I can't help but think of the old Grampa Jones joke when I read this "If we had some ham we could have ham and eggs if we only had the eggs."

Re: Jets release Tebow
I think the commissioner would disagree with this. A couple years ago they weren't as bad and he threatened to pull the team from Jacksonville if people didn't start showing up to the games.

Re: Jets release Tebow
What lack of success? You mean the one stretch where he took over at QB on a 1-4 team and that team went on to finish 8-8 and win a playoff game?
