Awful Shooting Continues as Gamecocks Lose to Charlotte

For some reason the Gamecocks insist on settling for three point shots, and it's causing them to lose games. Against Charlotte, South Carolina shot a putrid 3 of 18 from 3 point land. Their eFG% was...

Re: 2014 Charleston Classic **USC vs. Charlotte GAME Thread**

You shouldn't get blasted for that. Thornwell isn't a big time player yet. I don't care what mock drafts say. Anyone that thought differently, is wrong. Thornwell should be making big strides by the...

It's 4 games into the season. Time to give up! The comments on here are ridiculous!

Re: What Are Your Win/Loss Expectations for 2014-2015 Men's Basketball Season?

This is how I'm feeling. I only see 18 wins max on our schedule.

Re: 2014 Charleston Classic **USC vs. Cornell GAME Thread**

I thought we were pretty bad on offense again, but the defense was a big, big improvement.

Kacinas had a double double, 10 points 11 rebounds.... 7 offensive boards..

I don't put much...

Getting Back on Track - Cornell

The Gamecocks soundly beat Cornell tonight. Here is a glance at the four factors:

USC shot an eFG% of just 44.8%, 1% worse than they shot against Baylor. The good news for the Gamecocks was that...

Re: Previewing Cornell

Absolutely. We have to attack the boards tonight, get some penetration, and keep Cornell off the line.

Re: Previewing Cornell

Shockingly, they have not shot very well from 3 this season. I believe only 31%. That said, they have four guys that can score. Looks to me like we'll find out a lot more about our team from this...

The NBA proves that it's not concerned about domestic abuse.

On April 30, 2014, Adam Silver took a strong stance against racism in the NBA when they banned Los Angeles Clippers owner, Donald Sterling for his illegally recorded controversial comments to his...

Previewing Cornell

Coming into the season, Cornell was predicted to finish 8th in the Ivy League due to a 2-26 record last season and the transfer of their leading returning scorer. Cornell simply was just not supposed...

Re: Baylor - What went wrong?

I didn't think the post players were as big of a problem as the guards. I don't know what you want these guys to do when a team isn't letting them get the ball in the post.

Did you see...

Re: **USC vs. Baylor GAME Thread**

I agree with this 100% Two games into the season is too soon to know anything about this team. There were some things that I did like seeing during the game, and I think the team will get better.

Re: **USC vs. Baylor GAME Thread**

Frank is trying to get us on TV. He wants exposure for the team, and he'll settle for noon on Tuesday if it gets us on a widely watched college basketball day.

Re: Baylor - What went wrong?

I'm not sure what happened in the paint had much to do with it. We shot terribly. We let their starting 1, 2, and 3 combine for 49 points. meanwhile their starting post players combine for 9 points...

Baylor - What went wrong?

This game was a close match-up. As I stated in another post, the point differential between the previous 5 meetings was only 3 points, so the games seem to always be close. A lot of griping and...
