I saw they might release him simply because FSU recruits that area so heavily and doesn't want to leave a bad impression on other schools and kids in that area. Would be a shame if they did that but...

9 run inning for Texas... Roth was dealing through 3 but with a depleted bullpen they had to keep him in as long as possible. 3 innings was what he was scheduled to pitch tonight per the pre game...

75 pitches through 3.1 innings and Roths night is done. 2-0 rangers with the bases loaded and Roth responsible for them with Kinsler coming up.

I'm glad I have MLB Extra Innings.... Roth looks good but with him only going a few innings tonight 20 pitches in the first was a lot.

Roth hitting 91 on his fastball ... I didn't think he threw that hard. I thought 86-87 was his normal velocity.

I have no problem with it... If guys have been in the program for 2-3 years and are told they will not get much playing time then looking elsewhere would not be a bad idea for them if they would like...

Not trying to be that guy but I wouldn't start him in fantasy... Texas offense has been rolling of late. Love Roth but as a Rangers fan I wouldn't expect him to put up great numbers tonight...
