Dylan was sacked more often than Shaw last year when you look at sacks per passing attempt for each QB.
Also, Spurrier just said in his post practice interview that BOTH QBs need to get rid of ball quicker. I didn't hear him say "Shaw needs to get rid of ball quicker."
yes, yes, I know this is the perception everyone has. But then why does Dylan have more sacks per pass attempt than Shaw?
And let me be clear that I am not picking on Dylan. I think both QBs need to work on it. But it isn't a "Shaw" problem.
Also, Dylan is a much better runner than people give him credit for.
We seem to want to classify Dylan as one type of QB and Shaw as another and it isn't that black and white.
I agree there's a lot of gray area but it's pretty much 2 different type of QB's. In 2 starts Dylan put up 30% of the yardage stats that Shaw put up in 11 starts.
Obviously with basic math you can predict that with 11 starts Dylan Thompson would've (if he averaged the same in all starts) had 3300 yards passing.
Obviously this is flawed logic when it comes to who he played, etc. etc. etc.
but I'm just saying it's obvious that Connor likes to use his feet and make smart throws where as Dylan would prefer to stay in the pocket if possible and sling that ball around the field.
