The SEC Championship
The past 9 years under coach Spurrier have certainly, as we all well know, been full of wonderful moments. So many I won't mention them all here. Simply put, we've certainly done a lot of firsts, and set new records and new standards at South Carolina. Beating Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, and Clemson are all great! Even 10 years ago we all dreamed of the day we'd turn the tables on these foes of ours. I know I dreamed of those days back than. Top that with beating a number one ranked team, like we did against Alabama in 2010. Finally winning the SEC East that magical night down in Gainsville, and of course our most recent back to back 11 win seasons with amazing wins over Nebraska and Michigan. To top all these moments for me is winning the SEC Championship. I don't want to discuss who we might play if we make it to Atlanta this year or any year for that matter, what I am asking is simple. To all Gamecocks, what would an SEC Championship mean to you? It'd mean the world to me. It would be the final cement on South Carolina rising as a football power, and it would mean more to me than I can ever accurately express in words. So I ask again, fellow Gamecocks, What WOULD an SEC Championship mean to YOU???
