Why the polls are frustrating
They have little meaning until October, yet early rankings set up good programs for failure.
Is this done deliberately?
Yes and no.
If you were a pollster and you ranked both Georgia and Clemson highly, you would feel compelled to kick the loser to the curb, and exagerate the winner.
The only survey of AP sportwriters and coaches I care about are the only ones that matter.
Those rankings come out in January of next year!
Until then forget about where Clemson is ranked now or next week and let's just focus on beating our next opponent!
And, by the way, we have the luxury of settling the Clemson ranking score shortly before we go to Atlanta!
