My Lab Noel turns 16 this month. She moves kinda slow these days but she had lost control of her bladder. We took her to the vet last week and We were expecting kidney failure or something along those lines. But instead he gave her a clean bill of health and said that older females that have been spayed often have incontinence due to lack of estrogen. Gave us a script for estrogen supplements and told us her bloodwork looked no different than a dog 10 years younger. Hoping to have her around a long time. Got her my Sophomore year of college, it's almost like we've grown up together.
The dog in my avatar is Sissy, she is 18 years old and still plays like a pup at times. She means the world to me, got a lot of cash tied up in vet bills when she was sick a couple of years ago. Doesn't matter though, Sissy is much more important than money.
