To the other: Do all the other schools handle it that way? Sincere question, because we are talking about atmosphere here. And yes, the program needs money, but it also needs enthusiasm. One group has an abundance of enthusiasm but little disposable income.
I'm not sure which schools I heard about but I remember hearing that some Universitys are moving or have moved to that system maybe Florida and someone else? where they charge students a fee just for home football game tickets. I'm likely off on the $50/ game though (too high).
I agree there should be enthusiam at games and I'm certainly not complaining about the job the students do (I was one up until 2009). I'm not against the studnet section being expanded and adding more seats would be nice, but with all of the University projects that are currently in the works and the $ committed to those, you will not see that happen for a while.
