You all seem so surprised that Georgia was able to run the ball on us. I can't seem to figure out why. One of the crucial parts of being able to stop the run is having good linebacker play.
I imagine the talk of moving Clowney to LB was used in that thought. He would improve our LB play (simply because of experience and talent) but that's as far as the credit goes in this thread.
Clowney is at his best with his hand on the ground. He hasn't put up the statistics this year (so far - remember we're only 2 games in) and people are jumping ship. What? Clowney has had a total of 2 solo tackles and 2 sack in the first 2 games in 2011 and a total of 2 solo tackles and 1 sack in the first 2 games in 2012. What's so different so far?
Let's not freak out over 1 loss. It's not like we lost to a bad team.
